Review on Physician's Formula Mineral Wear Loose Powder

After testing out PF's Mineral Wear Loose Powder for about a month, I've finally decided to write my review.

First off, this product comes in a little nice dome shaped packaging. When you take the lid off, you'll see the attached brush. Underneath the brush, there's a layer of protective covering which will help prevent any spilling when you throw this into your purse. A lot of added security huh? Perfect for any female who's on the rush like myself.
Personally, I don't like the brush that comes with this. It's great for taking it out but if you're doing makeup at home, I suggest you use your own powder/kabuki brush. The bristles are a little rough and isn't very soft. It might be good for smaller areas you might need to cover up but for an all over face coverage, use your own brush
I apply this powder after I apply my foundation. It really helps set the foundation in and gives me a nice flawless look. I've noticed that after using the powder, my face isn't as oil as it used to be which is a definitely pro. This powder also contains SPF 16 so you won't feel as guilty if you ever forget to apply your sunscreen.

Cost: About $12 but CVS has those occasional buy 1 get 1 50%
Recommended? Yup

Physician's Formula Concealer Stick

Shade: Fair

I recently purchased the Physician Formula Foundation (Classic Ivory) at CVS and it had a little gift attached to it. Yep.. you guessed it. It was this concealer stick.
So they had one w/o the gift too but if you were in my shoes, which one would you pick? Depends I guess.
But anyway.. the prices were the same so I picked the concealer one to try out.
Let me begin by saying that I love this concealer. I know most of the concealers out there are a bit oily but this one actually isn't. It works well to cover up minor imperfections as stated on the packaging. I would apply my foundation and then use this concealer to cover up any dark spots I have. Sometimes I'll also use the Mineral Wear Loose Powder to finish it off. (I'll do a review on that later.)

This will costs you around.. $6-$12 I believe. I'm not sure what the exact price is because like I said, this came free with my Mineral Wear Foundation. I actually bought the Mineral Wear Loose Powder plus the Foundation together for around $18. If you go to Wal-greens, its only $6.50 or somewhere around there. (Check out their website) To get the better deals, wait until there is a sale.. and look in your local ads!

So would I buy this again? Definitely! I think it really makes my skin look better and covers up anything I don't want to be shown!

Thanks for reading this and please leave any comments.

Remington Pro Air Optima Professional 1875 Watts Hair Dryer

So this is the Remington Pro Air Optima Professional 1875 Watts hair dryer. I've owned this hair dryer for more than 6 years and it still works great. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has long hair or short hair for that matter.
This hair dryer includes a straight diffuser which is great for curly haired people who want to achieve the straight hair look. I, personally, have straight hair but it's slightly wavy so this diffuser works great for me. It features a optima, high, medium, low heat setting. The first button you see on the dryer is cool followed by the on/off switch. One thing that bothers me is that when you want to use the cool setting, you have to hold it in order for the cool air to remain. Sometimes my hand will get tired from doing it.
This dryer does not have s 360 swivel cord but it hasn't tangled up for me.
I bought this dryer at Walmart for around $25 I believe.. I don't remember the exact price because it was so long ago but I'm sure it wasn't that much.

Neutrogena Skin-Clearing Foundation

Neutrogena Skin Clearing Foundation
So does it really clear your skin?
For me.. it doesn't really do that but I've noticed that after using this foundation, I broke out less. I don't really know if that was what prevented it but I do believe so. It does contain Salicylic Acid which is suppose to help treat pimples. It's also oil-free which won't clog your pores.
I found that this foundation is a little chalky.. It isn't as creamy as I like it. After I apply it, my face looked like I combined talc along with it and applied it. That is the one con I don't like.
The packaging is pretty nice. It comes in a rectangular bottle and is 1fl oz.
The smell isn't too pleasant but it'll become unnoticeable when it dries.
Cost" About $10

Again CVS, Rite-Aid, Duane Reade and other drugstore pharmacy are always having regular sales so look for them before you buy! you can really catch a great deal :)

Physician's Formula Talc-Free Mineral Wear Review

Physician's formula Talc-Free Mineral Wear Foundation.
So, what's the purpose of leaving the talc out? Well.. one thing is when you apply this, it won't give you a cakey look as oppose to other foundations that contains talc. It also reduces irritation and breakouts on your skin.
This foundation comes with an antimicrobial sponge but for my preference, I like to rip it out and use my own foundation brush. This works well as a concealer so you don't have to buy another product for concealing. It covers up my dark circles really well and gives it a nice flawless finish.
As for the price, its usually around $11-$12.. around the price of most foundation.
Check out CVS this week.. they're having a sale where you can buy one for regular price but get the second for 50% off. Rite-aid and Duane Reade also offer these type of sales regularly.

So do I recommend it?
Yes. Especially for Acne-Prone skin like myself.
I use Classic Ivory.. the closest match for my skin. But I'm sure Natural Beige,Sand Beige, Creamy Natural, etc will suit you better.

Any questions? You know what to do :D

Misecellanous

Hi guys
this post is sort of like a video response to Riza (youtube channel- BKkrgrl17).
We are all stressed with school and work right? You complain and complain but people tell you that it'll pay off in the future.
How?

With school, we study and take a lot of exams but when we graduate, we earn a high school diploma or a undergraduate degree. So why do we need that?
Think about it...any where in this world, companies, corporation get tons of resumes from people looking to seek a job. But they look for the most qualified ones to hire. Everyone is striving to earn a degree so they can afford to start a family and be able to take care of them.
And with a job.. we can buy stuff we want and desire.

Some people work more hours but get less salary than you. Do you hear them complain? Probably not.

So my point is.. be grateful for the job you have. There are always others out there who work longer hours than you but they don't complain. Why? because to them, it's a job and it's enough to support themselves and their families :)

Conair 2" Tourmaline Straightener with Straightening Pins

So.. what is this red thing to the left?
It's a Conair 2" Tourmaline Straightener with Straightening Pins!
I actually bought this 2 years ago.. at Wal-mart because I had a old Conair Styler which is purple and has all the different plates (crimping, waves, star, shiny, and straight). That one wouldn't straighten my hair and the crimping feature didn't work for me.. It just left my hair very dry and brittle! My first curling iron was actually the Mary-Kate and Ashley Straightener (haha) and that was even worse! That won't straighten a strand of hair and pulled my hair too. I can't say the Conair Styler didn't pull my hair but it just wasn't as much.
Ok enough babbling about my history with straighteners.
This 2" Straightening features teeth on the inside which is suppose to help your straighten. I really don't like that feature and wish I got one without the teeths. I found that it actually pulls my hair out as oppose to straighten it. Yes, it hurts which is why I don't recommend it. If you are on a budget and are looking to buy a drugstore brand hair tool, buy one that doesn't have straightening pins. And also.. buy one that is smaller because that can curl your hair too. Best of both worlds there.
I believe they have discontinued this product. (I wish I can write my history paper as fast as I'm writing this. Ok ignore this sentence) I got it for around $35 dollars.. I'm hoping to get a new and better straightener which is better for my hair. Still looking into it!
